Temporary Parking
How to Set Up an Efficient Temporary Parking Zone for Your Event
Are you hosting an event on a site without suitable or sufficient parking?
Here’s how to set up an efficient system, step by step, with Fluxology’s support.
1. Assess and prepare the area
Every site is unique. We start with a full analysis: access, soil conditions, drainage, slope, visibility, and technical constraints.
π‘ Tip: a flat, dry surface is ideal — but we adapt our solution to any configuration.
To refine this step, we use:
β Drone surveys to visualize the entire site and identify sensitive areas, slopes, and obstacles.
β Regional orthophotos: georeferenced aerial images regularly updated by the Regions, providing a highly accurate representation of the actual terrain (buildings, hedges, paths, usable surfaces).

2. Define Parking Capacity and Layout
Based on site data (drone + orthophotos) and your expected volumes, we move to modeling.
Using GIS and mapping software, we simulate vehicle placement and optimize available space.
We determine:
β Optimal capacity (realistic number of spaces).
β Parking rows and angles (perpendicular, angled, longitudinal).
β Specific zones: PRM, VIP, staff, buses, bicycles, logistics.
β Traffic lanes and emergency exits.
β Separate entrances/exits to minimize flow conflicts.
π The result: a reliable, actionable plan aligned with real site conditions.

3. Deploy On-Site Logistics
Before signage, the parking must be physically safe and usable:
β Ground protection mats.
β Light masts for night arrivals and departures.
β Barriers, tape, and cones to define zones.
β Bins & sheltered areas (welcome, staff, PRM).
π Scaled to weather conditions, vehicle types, and operational duration.

4. Install Clear, Visible Signage
Good readability prevents congestion and U-turns. We deploy:
• Directional signs from main roads.
• Clearly identified entrance and exit.
• Drop-off & pick-up areas.
• Ground markings or lighted beacons if required.
π Standard or customized signage in your event’s branding.

5. Mobilize a Team of Parking Stewards
Human presence remains the best guarantee of smooth flows. We provide:
β Trained stewards (guidance, safety, PRM assistance).
β Radio coordination during peak traffic.
β A Project Manager for overall supervision and coordination with the organizer.

6. Manage Exit and Dismantling
A poorly managed exit can ruin an otherwise great day.
We stay until the last vehicle leaves, ensure a gradual clearing of zones, and carry out a clean and efficient removal of all equipment.

Why Choose Fluxology?
Because we combine on-the-ground logic, mobility expertise, and human-centered service.
We transform fields, lawns or urban spaces into fully functional, safe, and welcoming temporary car parks — turnkey.
